Tactics & Strategy
Veteran tactics for coordinated team play and map control
Chokepoint Defense
Chokepoints are natural bottlenecks (bridges, canyons, gaps) that force enemy units to converge. They are the most important locations to control.
- 1.Engineers are masters of chokepoint defense with mines and C4
- 2.Place mines at crests of inclines or just around corners to hide them
- 3.Use explosive packs when you need to let friendlies pass but stop enemies
- 4.Anti-tank soldiers should ambush from riverbanks next to bridges
- 5.Chokepoints are #1 priority for artillery and B-17 carpet bombing
Amphibious Assaults
Use landing craft to bypass frontline defenses and attack from unexpected directions.
- 1.The driver can open/close the front ramp with Up/Down Arrow keys. Keep the ramp closed during approach for protection.
- 2.Land on undefended coastline sections for rear attacks
- 3.LCVPs can patrol coastlines and destroy other landing craft
- 4.Mounted machine gun is effective against infantry and light vehicles
Airborne Assaults
Use paratroopers to capture critical, lightly defended control points at match start.
- 1.Use rear gunner seat of two-seaters (Stuka, Dauntless, BF-110) for drops
- 2.B-17 with two gunner seats is best for dropping small squads
- 3.Soldiers can shoot while parachuting, but are vulnerable to ground fire.
- 4.The default parachute key is 9 — rebind it to a mouse button (Options > Controls > Flight) for faster deployment. Press repeatedly if it doesn't register on the first try.
- 5.Touch-and-go pickups allow rapid ferrying without full landing
Siege Warfare
Trap enemies in their base rather than costly final assaults.
- 1.Establish defensive line just outside enemy main base
- 2.Use artillery and tanks to bombard spawn points
- 3."A Bridge Too Far" tactic: Let enemy hold nearest point to separate infantry from vehicles
Artillery Principles
Mobile artillery must stay far from front lines and requires Scout coordination.
- 1.Keep artillery in concealed areas near your main base
- 2.Scouts with binoculars are essential for effective indirect fire
- 3.Target areas not individuals: control points, chokepoints, spawn areas
- 4.Do not waste shells on single moving targets
Support Roles
Engineers and Medics are force multipliers that enable sustained operations.
- 1.Engineers: Mine chokepoints, repair tanks, use C4 for ambushes
- 2.A tank with an engineer repairing it survives much longer
- 3.Medics enable squads to survive firefights that would otherwise wipe them out
- 4.Self-healing makes Medics best for solo infiltration missions
The Golden Rules
Communication Wins Games
Use radio commands (F1-F8) constantly. Spotting enemies, calling for backup, and coordinating attacks separates winning teams from losing ones.
Control Points = Victory
Holding majority of control points causes enemy ticket drain. Capture strategically, defend aggressively.
Combined Arms
Infantry, armor, and air support must work together. Tanks without infantry support get ambushed. Infantry without armor get overwhelmed.
Support Roles Matter
Engineers keeping tanks repaired and Medics keeping squads alive are often the difference between successful pushes and failed assaults.
