Movement & Maneuvers

  • WASD for movement, mouse controls aiming direction
  • Left Shift to walk (slower, no tactical advantage)
  • Left Control to crouch - improves weapon accuracy
  • Z to go prone - greatest concealment and accuracy bonus
  • Spacebar to jump over low obstacles (not barbed wire)
Pro Tips
  • Strafing (A/D while aiming forward) is crucial for dodging fire
  • Circle-strafing only works in 1v1 infantry fights
  • You can jump onto friendly vehicles to ride as unofficial passenger

Swimming

  • Limited to forward/backward movement only
  • Cannot dive or use any weapons while swimming
  • Health drains after a short distance (stamina limit)
Pro Tips
  • If stranded far from shore, use Enter > Suicide to respawn faster

Maps & Navigation

  • Mini-map in upper right shows your position (arrow) and facing direction
  • Friendly troops shown as blue (Allies) or red (Axis) arrows
  • Press M for full-screen map showing all friendly units and vehicles
  • Fog of war is in effect - enemy units are not shown on map

Weapons & Combat

  • Crosshair size indicates accuracy - widens when moving, shrinks when still
  • Crouching or prone provides significant accuracy bonus
  • Right-click to zoom/use sights for precise aiming
  • Knife is lethal from behind on stationary targets

Grenades

  • Left-click for maximum-force throw
  • Right-click and hold for variable-force throw with power meter
Pro Tips
  • Throw grenades UNDERNEATH vehicles - prevents bounce-back and focuses blast on weak underbelly

The Ticket System

  • Tickets = your team's reinforcements
  • Every death (any cause) subtracts one ticket
  • Win by reducing enemy tickets to zero
  • Ticket Bleed: Holding majority of control points drains enemy tickets over time
Pro Tips
  • On Assault maps, attacker tickets drain from the start until they capture a point
  • On Head-On maps, you need more than half of all points for ticket drain

Capturing Control Points

  • Control points provide spawn points and vehicle/asset access
  • To capture: Be inside the capture radius (white flag icon appears)
  • Cannot capture if ANY enemy is also in the radius (contested)
  • Most maps have an uncapturable main base as fallback spawn, but some maps do not. Check the map layout for details.

Communication

  • K = All chat (everyone)
  • L = Team chat (your team only)
  • F1-F8 = Radio commands menu (voice + text callouts)
Pro Tips
  • Radio commands are fastest in combat - "Medic!", "Armor spotted!", etc.
  • Spotting enemies (F3 menu) does NOT place icons on the minimap like later Battlefield games. It only sends a radio voice callout and briefly flashes directional arrows for nearby teammates.

Map & Kick Voting

  • Press Tab to open the scoreboard, then right-click and select "Lock" to access the vote menu
  • You can vote to change the map or kick a disruptive player
  • Votes require 50% of the server to pass
Pro Tips
  • Use the console commands: game.voteMap [ID] and game.voteKickPlayer [ID] for direct voting
  • Type game.listMaps or game.listPlayers in console to see available IDs

Teamkill Rules (FTK/PTK)

  • Friendly fire is on by default in most servers
  • If teamkilled, open the console (~) and type ptk to punish or ftk to forgive
  • Punishing adds extra respawn time for the teamkiller
  • Accumulating too many punished teamkills results in auto-kick (server configurable)
Pro Tips
  • The system is console-only — there is no on-screen prompt like later Battlefield games
  • Some servers set punish-by-default mode, where you must type ftk to forgive

Radio Commands

Communicate with your team using quick radio messages

Radio Commands (F1-F4)

Transmitted over radio - only your team can hear them regardless of distance.

Vocal Commands (F5-F7)

Shouted aloud - nearby enemies can hear them too!

Radio Command Tips

  • Spotting enemies (F3) marks them on the minimap for your entire team - use it constantly!
  • "Artillery ready" (F2 F6) tells Scouts you're manning an artillery piece and need targets.
  • "Medic!" (F6 F5) changes to "Need repairs!" when you're in a vehicle.
  • "Stick together" (F7 F5) changes to "Get in!" when you're driving a vehicle with empty seats.
  • • Be careful with vocal commands (F5-F7) near enemies - they can hear you!
