Overview

An assault map placing players in the role of attacking American forces storming heavily fortified German beach defenses. American tickets drain continuously until they capture the bunker complex.

Historical Context

The Allied landing at Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944 was one of the most violent and costly amphibious assaults in history.

Key Tactics

The Importance of Grenades

Germans rain grenades on clustered troops; Americans need them to clear bunkers.

Bypassing the "Street of Death"

Follow the wooden fence behind eastern bunkers to flank the Garrison from a less-defended direction.

Infiltrating the Garrison

Jump over crates in an alleyway to bypass main defenses and capture the point.

Naval Bombardment is Key

Victory often depends on effective destroyer use with precise scout coordination.

American Strategy

  1. 1Survive the Landing: Use landing craft and immediately run for cover (obstacles or wreckage).
  2. 2Establish a Beachhead and Spot: Capture Omaha Beach and have scouts provide coordinates for destroyer bombardment.
  3. 3Destroy Shore Defenses: Use destroyer guns to eliminate bunker machine guns and coastal batteries.
  4. 4Ascend the Cliffs: Use the western path for more cover when advancing to the Fortified Positions.
  5. 5Final Coordinated Assault: Consolidate all forces for the push on the Garrison.

German Strategy

  1. 1Hold the Beach: Man every machine gun and sniper position in the bunkers to accelerate American ticket loss.
  2. 2Sink the Destroyer: Have scouts target the Allied destroyer for the coastal guns. This is the most critical objective.
  3. 3Mine the Ascents: Use engineers to mine the paths leading up the cliffs.
  4. 4Fall Back and Fortify: If the Fortified Positions are lost, conduct fighting withdrawal to the Garrison.
  5. 5Final Stand: Use the Tiger tank and narrow streets to make the American advance as costly as possible.
